Dr. Savvas Triantafyllou is an Assistant Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, NTUA since October 2019. He holds a diploma in Civil Engineering from NTUA (2004), an MSc in Structural Analysis, NTUA (2006) and a PhD in Structural Engineering (2011). Prior to his arrival at NTUA he served as a Lecturer (2012-13) at Brunel University London, and then as an Assistant (2013-17) and Associate Professor (2017-19) at the University of Nottingham, UK. His research interests involve state-of-the-art computational mechanics, and the analysis and performance of materials and structures under static and dynamic conditions. His research has received funding from National and European sources. He has more than 30 publications in peer-reviewed scientific journals (h-factor 15) and has supervised to completion 6 PhD theses.
