Evangelos Sapountzakis, Internal Member of Administrative Board of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) and Director of the Professional Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme "Management of Infrastructure and Construction Projects" and of the Interdepartmental Postgraduate Programme "Analysis and Design of Structures" of NTUA, is Dr. of Civil Engineering - Structural Design, Professor at the School of Civil Engineering, NTUA.
He graduated from the NTUA in 1984, with postgraduate studies (Concrete Structures) at the Imperial College of Science and Technology, London (1985), where he obtained his M.Sc. and DIC degrees. He holds a PhD degree from NTUA (1991).
He has extensive experience (35 years) in the design and analysis of bridges and special projects. Since 1996 he has provided consultancy services in a number of transport projects, has carried out design reviews of large special projects, and has been a member of the Special Committee for the Evaluation of Tenders for the project "Design-Build, Self-financing and Operation of the Permanent Link Project Rio - Antirrio". He is a member of Technical Design Boards and Project Monitoring Committees.
in addition he is a Professor at the School of Corps of Engineers of the Hellenic Army (SCEHA) and has been a member of the Associate Teaching Staff of the Hellenic Open University (Hellenic Open University).
His published research work includes 132 original papers published in reputable international journals and 190 papers published in international conference proceedings. He has authored 12 chapters in books published by international publishers, 5 technical reports and 7 books - teaching papers. He is the author of 6 books or conference proceedings.
He has participated in 15 funded research projects as scientific leader in 11 of them. He has given 1 Plenary and 21 Keynote lectures at international conferences. His research work has received wide international scientific recognition, as demonstrated by his position as Honorary Editor, Editor-in-Chief, Academic Editor, Regional Editor, Associate Editor, as a member of the editorial board of 29 international journals, as a member of 72 scientific committees of international conferences, as a reviewer of scientific papers in 60 prestigious international journals and as a reviewer of research proposals of Ministries of Science, Research and Technology of 3 foreign countries, while more than 3000 references (h-index=31) have been identified in the international literature (h-index=31).

Dr. Vissarion Papadopoulos is a Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA since 2019.
He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from NTUA (1991), an MSc 'Earthquake Engineering and Structural Dynamics' from the Imperial College of Science Technology and Medicine (1993) and a PhD from the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA (1998). He has also conducted postdoctoral research at Columbia University, New York (2002-2005) in the field of computational stochastic engineering.
Also, before joining NTUS, he was a Lecturer (2001-2003) and Assistant Professor (2004) at the University of Thessaly in the Departments of Civil and Mechanical Engineering.
His research activity focuses on computational engineering, stochastic analysis and machine learning and is funded by national and European resources.
He has more than 65 publications in peer-reviewed international journals (scholar citations >2500, h-index 29) and has successfully supervised 6 PhD theses.
He is the founder of the MGroup research group, active in the area of computational engineering.

Dr Nikos D. Lagaros, Vice Dean of Finance, Planning and Development of the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA), is Professor of Construction Optimization.
Prior to joining NTUA, he was Assistant Professor at the Department of Civil Engineering, University of Thessaly (2000 to 2007). Previously, he also served as Visiting Professor at the Department of Biological Engineering, Laboratory for Computational Biology & Biophysics, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (2014), Boston, USA and at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, McGill University (2013), Montreal, Canada.
He received his Diploma and PhD in Civil Engineering from NTUA and teaches courses in Structural Analysis, Optimization and Computer Programming.
He has provided consulting services to private companies and government agencies in Greece and internationally and is an active member of the computational engineering research community.
Among other things, his publication record includes more than 150 publications in peer-reviewed journals and according to Google Scholar his h-index is 44 with more than 6000 citations of his work.

Dr. Savvas Triantafyllou is Associate Professor at the School of Civil Engineering of NTUA.
He holds a Diploma in Civil Engineering from NTUA (2004), a Diploma in Structural Design and Analysis of Structures, NTUA (2006) and a PhD from the School of Civil Engineering, NTUA (2011).
Prior to joining NTUA, he was a Lecturer at Brunel University (2012-13), and then Assistant (2013-2017) and Associate Professor (2017-2019) at the University of Nottingham.
His research activity focuses on computational mechanics and the analysis and behaviour of materials and structures under static and dynamic loads. His research activity is funded by National and European funds.
He has more than 30 publications in international journals (h-factor 15) and has successfully supervised 6 PhD theses.
